Career

With over 20 years experience in brand development and marketing, I feel extremely lucky to work in a profession that allows me to do what I love.

From a drawing board under a corrugated iron roof in Wainuiomata, to my own office on the 25th floor of a Sydney skyscraper, my career has led me on a wonderful journey that has always created welcomed challenges and satisfaction.

I’ve had some wonderful opportunities that I’ve always made the most of. And have taken every chance I could to better myself and achieve goals that I often thought were out of reach.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work in companies that cover many aspects of the advertising/design industry. And have honed my skills in concept development and creative strategy, and also areas of the trade such as pre-press and retouching.

Over the years I've worked on such brands as: AGL, American Express, AXA, BP, British American Tobacco, Charta Packaging, DHL, eBay, FOXTEL, Guinness, Guthrie Bowron, Hyundai, IBM, Lenovo, LG, Local Goverment of NZ, Milo, MOJO Coffee, MYER, New Zealand Government, Nestlé, NRMA, Purina, Qantas, RTA, Scouts, Sensis, SPARC, Statistics NZ, Telstra, TelstraClear, The Economist, The Sydney Morning Herald, Western Union, Westfield, Willis Bond & Co.

Me

Art has played a major role in my life. Although my passion for creativity has led me into other areas such as photography, cooking and music, I always have a bit of illustration board at hand for my next pointillism drawing, or a piece of something ready to carve.

My father is an outdoor nut, and such influence has led me into many a day on the golf course, in the Marlborough Sounds with a rod in my hand or eating fresh scallops straight from the shell after a quick dive. A cold beer with the boys watching footy is always desirable, but nothing compares to a day with my wife running around after my young son.
